Acclaimed violinist and philanthropist Rachel Barton Pine will visit the Morehead State University campus Nov. 13-15.

As the guest artist in the String Residency Project in MSU’s Department of Music, Pine will hold a variety of presentations, lectures, workshops and performances during her three-day stay on campus.

On Thursday, Nov. 13, a recital will be held featuring Pine in Duncan Recital Hall of the Baird Music Building on the MSU campus. The recital will begin at 3 p.m.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, Pine will lead a fiddling and classical violin workshop at the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music. KCTM is located at 149 East Main Street in downtown Morehead.

Pine will host a classical jam session on Friday evening, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. The event will be held in Duncan Recital Hall.

The Tri-State Honors’ Orchestras, with Pine as guest violinist, will perform on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. This fourth annual performance will be held in Button Auditorium on the MSU campus.
