Types of Financial Aid

  • Grants (A grant is a type of Financial Aid that a student usually does not have to repay.)
  • Loans (Financial Aid that the student or parent borrows. This aid usually has to be repaid.)
  • Work Study (The Work-Study program provides student employment during the school-year.)
  • Scholarships (Financial Aid awarded to the student based on academic achievement.)
  • Other (Financial Aid for Vocational Rehabilitation, Military Service, etc.)

Important Dates
  • The deadline for payment is the Friday before the beginning of classes each semester.
  • The priority deadline for receiving the results of a student's application for financial aid (FAFSA) is March 15.
